A Free Lossless Audio Codec (FLAC) file is one of the highest-quality audio files available and includes no compression. If you want to listen to a FLAC file, you must have a special audio player. To burn a FLAC file to a blank CD, you must convert the FLAC file to an MP3 file. Then you can listen to music on any audio software, including WinAMP, Windows Media Player and iTunes.

      Download and install the LAME MP3 Encoder and Foobar 2000 software. Download the WinRAR software as well if you don't already have it in order to unzip the LAME MP3 Encoder files.

      Open the LAME MP3 Encoder and the files will appear through the WinRAR software. Create a folder on your desktop, then move all of the LAME files to your new folder. Close out of WinRAR.

      Open the Foobar 2000 software, then click on the "File" option. Click on the "Open Files" option and locate the FLAC music file that you want to covert. Click "OK" after you've found the file.

      Right-click on the FLAC file, then scroll over the "Convert" option. Click on the "Convert to" option. Choose the "MP3 (LAME)" option from the "Encoding Preset" drop-down menu, then click "OK."

      Click on the "OK" button, then locate the "lame.exe" file from your LAME MP3 Encoder folder. Click on the "Open" button. The conversion process will begin.

      Locate the converted FLAC file on your computer. It should be in the LAME MP3 Encoder folder. Use the audio software on your computer to burn the converted FLAC file to a blank CD.
