How to Kill Ants With Dawn Soap & Water
These annoying pests are difficult to stop. While chemical baits and insecticides work, they pose danger to pets and children. An effective, and environmentally friendly, way to kill ants is with Dawn soap and water. Dawn soap and water combine to terminate a current ant infestation and prevent future ant attacks. The mixture creates an oily fluid that drowns ants and leaves behind an irritating film, creating an ant-free zone that will be safe for children and pets. Does this Spark an idea?

Squirt Dawn soap in the bottom of the empty spray bottle.

Fill the spray bottle with warm water from a faucet. The mixture should appear to have a tinge of blue. If it does not, add a little more Dawn.

Shake the bottle to make sure it is thoroughly mixed. Locate the offending ants and spray. Wait a couple of seconds to ensure the mixture killed the ants and wipe the area with a cloth.

Store the environmentally friendly mixture with other cleaning products and use whenever the ant problem recurs. Unlike chemical solutions, this mixture does not expire.
