Tips & Warnings

  • This lemon-oil furniture polish should only be used on varnished furniture.

  • For unvarnished wood, mix equal amounts of olive oil and lemon juice and apply lightly to a clean cotton cloth. After wringing the cloth tightly to distribute the polish throughout the entire cloth, wipe unvarnished furniture using wide strokes.

  • Lemon oil should not be confused with lemon juice. To purchase lemon oil, look in the vitamin and supplement section of your local natural-food store or other stores that specialize in alternative medicine. Lemon oil can also be purchased online at natural-health and essential-oil shops.
