How to Get Black Armor on "Halo 3"
“Halo 3” uses two different character models in multiplayer matches. Players select different armor colors in order to identify one another easier during multiplayer games. Several colors, including black, that were usable in “Halo” and “Halo 2” are no longer automatically usable in “Halo 3.” But it is possible to force the game to allow the player to use black as his or her armor color during custom matches through the "Forge" mode.
