Instructions

    • 1

Decide which pegboard you wish to use for your design. Pegboards come in different sizes and shapes to give you many options for creating. Beginners may do best using a simple square pegboard.

    • 2

Draw an outline of your pegboard onto the graph paper, with each square on the graph paper representing a peg on the pegboard.

    • 3

Begin adding the design you want to make by drawing it with the pencil. Make a basic outline of the main shape, then add other parts of the design or picture, drawing and redrawing until you have the outline of your design.

    • 4

Fill in the graph paper squares within the outline with the colored pencils to represent the different colored Perler Beads you will use in your design. Color in each square within the outline to make your design.

    • 5

Get out your pegboard and your Perler Beads and begin making the design you created with the Perler Beads on the pegboard. Follow your pattern, filling in the Perler Beads, until you have the same design on the pegboard as you created on the graph paper.
