How to Make a Tile Cleaner to Make Tile Shine
Just because you prefer greener products that are more environmentally safe does not mean that your bathroom should be dingy. If you want to avoid harmful chemicals but you still like a shiny bathroom, make a tile cleaner to make tile shine. Combine common household ingredients to create effective cleaners that will remove the soap scum and hard water deposits that typically build up on bathroom surfaces.

- White vinegar
- Baking soda
- Ammonia
- Borax
- Measuring spoons and cups
- Sponge
- Squeeze bottle
- Spray bottle
- Damp cloth

Mix ½-cup vinegar and ¼-cup baking soda together to make a cleaning solution for cleaning bathtubs and tile surrounds. Apply the cleaning solution to the tile and tub with a damp sponge to remove unsightly stains from the tile. Rinse the tile with warm water.

Measure equal parts white vinegar and water into a spray bottle. Use this spray to disinfect and shine bathroom walls and surfaces (including tile). Wipe the spray from the wall with a damp cloth.

Combine ½-cup vinegar, ½-cup ammonia, ¼-cup baking soda and 1 tsp. borax in the squeeze bottle. Close the bottle and shake it well. Squeeze out a small amount of this thick cleaner onto a damp sponge and apply it to bathroom tiles. Work the cleanser in with the sponge, then rinse well with warm water.

Follow any cleanser application by spraying plain white vinegar onto bathroom tiles. Wipe the vinegar from the tiles with a damp cloth to leave fresh and shiny tiles.
