Instructions

    • 1

Turn off the water supply to the faucet. Turn the hot and cold shutoffs under the sink clockwise until they are snug. If the faucet does not have individual shutoffs then turn off the main water supply to the house.

    • 2

Remove the old faucet by disconnecting the water supply lines attached to the hot and cold sides of the faucet. Using an adjustable wrench, loosen the bolts under the sink that are screwed onto the hot and cold side of the faucet and on the underneath of the tap.

    • 3

Clean the surface of the sink with mineral spirits and an old rag. Make sure any old caulk, glue or other debris where the old faucet was is completely removed.

    • 4

Roll the plumber's putty into a round strand long enough to circle the base of the new faucet. Stick the plumber's putty around the edge of the underneath of the base of the new faucet.

    • 5

Set the new faucet into place and make sure it is attached to the sink top evenly. From underneath the sink screw on the bolts and tighten. Be sure not to over tighten the bolts or the faucet can crack.

    • 6

Attach the water supply lines to the hot and cold sides of the faucet underneath the sink. Attach the other end of the water supply lines to the shutoffs or if there were no shutoffs attach the supply lines directly to the water pipes where the old ones were removed. Be sure not to over tighten the nuts on the supply lines.

    • 7

Turn the water on. If there are any little drips tighten the nuts on the water supply lines a little at a time until the drips stop.
