How Do I Detect Keylogger or Surveillance Software?
Keylogger and other types of surveillance software are referred to as spyware, and their goal is to capture information from your computer for use by malicious third parties. Spyware can be difficult to detect without running a virus scan of your computer, so if you suspect that you've been infected, you should take immediate action to detect and remove the software before it can cause harm.

1
Open a Web browser and download an anti-malware program, such as Malwarebytes or Spybot Search & Destroy, which are designed to detect and delete malicious software like keyloggers and surveillance software. Once you finish downloading the program, install it on your computer and restart it (if asked to do so by the installation program).

2
Open the anti-malware program that you installed and use the Update feature to update the software with the latest malware definitions. Run a full anti-malware scan of your computer (which can take a few hours to complete) and then remove any infections that are found.

3
Run an antivirus scan of your computer, if you already have antivirus software installed. If you don't, then you can download a free trial antivirus scanner from a popular antivirus company, such as Norton or Trend Micro. Install the antivirus scanner on your computer and run a full system scan, like you did with the anti-malware software. Remove any infections that are found.
