Instructions

  1. Borax and Lemon Juice

    • 1

Wet your bathtub with the shower nozzle or a wet sponge.

    • 2

Sprinkle borax on the bathtub area, according to the Frugalicity website. This inexpensive household cleaner is mildly abrasive and found in the aisle near the laundry detergents.

    • 3

Squirt some lemon juice onto the borax. Lemons are mildly acidic and will dissolve soap scum and greasy residue.

    • 4

Scrub the bathtub with a wet sponge and rinse well.

    Baking Soda and Dishwashing Detergent

    • 5

Mix a paste in a small bowl by combining baking soda and a liquid dishwashing detergent (preferably one with a degreaser). The baking soda is naturally deodorizing and is mildly abrasive but will not scratch your tub, according to The Family Homestead website.

    • 6

Wet a sponge and dip it into the paste mixture. Scrub the entire bathtub with the cleaner.

    • 7

Rinse the bathtub with plenty of water and admire the sparkle and shine.
