How to Replace a Viper Car Alarm Remote

Make sure your car stays safe.

If you've lost your car alarm remote or you'd like to get an additional one, you may have some sleuthing to do: Viper sells 19 devices. They range from a simple two-button remote control for less than $50 to a $300 rechargeable remote that lets you arm you car from a great distance. The best way to determine which remote you have is to use Viper's website.

Instructions

1. Access the Viper Remote Finder website to help you select the correct remote. There is a link in the Resources section.

2. Select one of three options to perform a search. A replacement part number search is best if you still have a remote; the number is on the back. You can also search by system model if you have the instruction manual. Finally, search by system part number if you happen to know it.

3. Click "View Product" on the results page.

4. Click "Add To Cart" to purchase your replacement remote.
