How to Turn on the HP Core 2 Quad Processor

The HP Core 2 Quad-Core processor is a special type of computer processor that is designed to have more power than a regular unit. A normal processor has one core running at a certain speed while the Core 2 Quad-Core processor has four cores running at that same speed. So while a single core 2GHz processor is only operating at 2 GHz (for example), a Core 2 Quad-Core processor that is running at 2 GHz is actually running at the equivalent of 8 GHz. Turning on a Core 2 Quad-Core processor involves turning on your computer.

Instructions

1. Locate the "Power" button on your HP computer's case. Typically this button is found on either the front or the top of the case.

2. Press the "Power" button.

3. Release the "Power" button. This will engage your HP computer's internal power source, which will provide electricity to your motherboard and turn on the Core 2 Quad processor.
