NBA Street Homecourt

NBA Street Homecourt is an arcade-style basketball game available on Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3. The defining quality of this game and other titles in the NBA Street family is performing over-the-top tricks. Executing gamebreakers properly is essential to being successful in NBA Street Homecourt. They allow you to do more wild tricks than normal, and they also allow you to score more points than normal. This causes drastic point swings and can change the outcome of a game.

Instructions

  1. Gamebreaker

    • 1

Turn on your console. When NBA Street Homecourt turns on, select any game mode; gamebreakers can be used in any mode.

    • 2

Fill your gamebreaker meter--located either on the top left or top right side of the screen, depending on which player you are--by making plays. Performing tricks, making baskets, dunking and stealing will help fill your meter. When you see a red, white and blue basketball appear in the "GAMEBREAKER" circle, located in the top center of the screen, and your meter is filled with red, you are ready to use a gamebreaker.

    • 3

Move your player to the bright circle at the center of the court. Press "triangle" on PlayStation 3 or "Y" on Xbox 360. You now possess the money ball and have activated the gamebreaker.

    • 4

Perform tricks or score a basket to execute a gamebreaker.

Tips & Warnings

  • When the gamebreaker is activated, one point will be taken away from the other team.

  • The amount of points rewarded for each gamebreaker depends on the amount of tricks you do while you have the money ball. Players can earn anywhere from one to three extra points depending on how good your tricks are.

  • The triple dunk also is available when the player has the money ball, compared to only being able to perform a double dunk when in normal mode.

  • Beware of the defenders. Unlike previous editions of NBA Street, the money ball can be stolen and the other team can use your gamebreaker on you. If that happens, steal it back before time runs out.
