1
Draw a rectangle 8 inches wide by 16 inches long on newspaper. This is the back and flap pattern of the diaper wipe case. Draw another rectangle 8 inches wide by 11 inches long on newspaper. This is the front pattern of the diaper wipe case. Cut out the patterns.
-
2
Stack one layer each of the cover fabric, the lining fabric and the lightweight quilt batting together. Pin the two patterns through all three layers of the stack. Cut out the pieces.

3
Lay the long quilt batting piece on your work surface. Place the long cover fabric over the batting with the right side up and matching the edges. Place the short cover fabric over the long cover with the right side down. Match it to one short edge of the stack and the long edges. The other short end is the top of the diaper wipe cover and will not match. Place the short batting piece over the short cover fabric, matching the edges. Pin the bottom short edge and the long matching edges together.

4
Sew around the pinned edges using a 1/4-inch seam allowance. Do not sew the opening or the top flap. Trim the seam edges to 1/8-inch. Turn the sewn cover right side out.
-
5
Stack the lining pieces together with the right sides facing. Match one short edge and the long edges and pin. Sew the pinned edges using a 1/4-inch seam allowance and leaving a 3-inch opening along the short edge. Do not turn the lining right side out.
-
6
Insert the right side out fabric cover inside the wrong side out lining. Match and pin the raw edges at the top edge of the bag and the flap. Sew around the pinned edges using a 1/4-inch seam allowance. Trim the sewn edges to 1/8-inch and clip the corners.
-
7
Turn the diaper wipe cover right side out through the opening in the lining. Hand sew the opening closed. Press the cover. Fold the long flap over the opening.
-
8
Cut a 1-inch piece of 1-inch wide Velcro. Center the Velcro between the flap and the front of the diaper wipe cover. Separate the Velcro halves and pin one side to the inside flap and the other to the cover front. Hand sew the Velcro halves to the cover. Insert a travel size package of diaper wipes. Close the flap and fasten with the Velcro.
