Things You'll Need

  • Oxiclean powder
  • Water
  • Basin or bucket
  • Washing machine
  • Laundry detergent

Instructions

    • 1

      Combine water and Oxiclean powder in a basin or bucket and allow the solution to sit for five minutes or until the powder is completely dissolved. Amounts for each ingredient are indicated on the Oxiclean container.

      Add stained garment to Oxiclean mixture and soak for one to six hours.

      Add garment to washing machine along with an additional amount of Oxiclean. Exact amount of Oxiclean is indicated in the directions on the Oxiclean container.

      Wash as usual and repeat if needed.

Tips & Warnings

  • Do not use this method on garments with tags marked "dry clean only". Please be advised that this cleaning method should not be used on silk, silk blends, wool, wool blends or leather.
