How to Hook Up Mario Kart Online for Wii
Play Mario Kart online on a console for the first time with Mario Kart Wii. You can play vs. mode or battle mode online against strangers or your friends (if you have their friend code). You’ll need a high-speed Internet connection, as the Nintendo Wii doesn’t support dial-up.

Select “Worldwide” or “Regional” to play against random opponents around the world or in your region. Choose “Race” or “Battle” depending on which mode you want to play. Select your character and vehicle, and then wait as the network finds random opponents. You will have the option to vote on a course before you play.

5
Select “Friends” to play with people you know. Choose “Register a friend” to input a friend code. You will need to do this before you can play with that friend.
