Turn on your Xbox 360 and navigate to Xbox Live. Enter your account information to log in; if you don't have a profile, select "Join Xbox Live."

Insert the game disc. The backward compatibility application will start, and an update will be sent to your console.

Tips & Warnings
If you cannot connect to Xbox live, you can download the update from the Xbox website. (There is a link in the Resources section.) Save the file to your computer and burn it to a blank DVD or CD. Insert the CD into your Xbox 360 and select "Continue" to install the update.
