Look for whole wheat berries in health food stores where you might find them labeled wheat seeds or kernels. Not only will you have the freshest bread flour possible, but grinding your own wheat berries means that you will be using unrefined flour, complete with all of the nutrition of whole grains.   • Electric coffee grinder (coffee mill)
  • Whole wheat berries (seed)

Instructions

      Place the wheat berries in the coffee grinder. Put in just enough berries to fill the mill but do not overfill it.

      Set the coffee mill to the finest grind for espresso.

      Process the wheat berries until they become a fine grain flour.

      Repeat with the remaining wheat berries until you have enough flour for your bread.
