One of Excel's unique features is that it allows you to call up an outside worksheet file by a link embedded in a single cell. This is accomplished with the "hyperlink" function.

Instructions

    • 1

Select the cell you want to click to open another worksheet. You will be creating a link within this cell. Enter something in the cell. This can be a letter, number and/or graphic.

    • 2

Right-click the text or graphic in the cell and then click "Hyperlink" on the shortcut menu.

    • 3

Click "Existing File or Web page" under "Link to" on the left side of the dialog box.

    • 4

Click "Current Folder" and then click the workbook file that contains the worksheet to which you would like to link the cell. Click "OK" to finish the hyperlink. The cell will be underlined to show its hyperlink status.
