Instructions

  1. Conventional Methods

    • 1

Wash your face twice a day, once in the morning and once at night. Use a gentle, antibacterial cleaner to remove oils without over drying your face. Apply an oil-free moisturizer to your face after each washing to avoid dry skin.

    • 2

Visit your dermatologist. The dermatologist will most likely prescribe an antibacterial acne cream that will help treat and prevent cystic acne.

    • 3

Apply presciption cream according to directions. Most are applied at night before you go to bed. After you wash your face, allow your skin to dry completely. If possible, wait about 45 minutes to apply the cream, to decrease irritation. If your skin is very irritated after beginning the prescription cream, use the cream every other night until your skin gets used to it. Then apply every night or as prescribed.

Wash your face. Mix 2 tbsp. of baking soda with 1 tbsp. water to create a paste. Apply the paste to your face after washing it. If you have deep blemishes that are excessively painful, add a pinch of sea salt to the mixture. The baking soda helps draw out the oil in your skin, while the sea salt soothes painful areas. Apply the paste once every 1 to 2 weeks.

    • 5

Crush aspirin to a powder using a spoon or the bottom of a glass. Mix the aspirin powder with water to form a thin paste. Rub the paste on your face to relieve inflammation and exfoliate the dead skin. Rinse your face with cool water.

Rub honey on your skin after the baking soda or aspirin treatment. Honey is a great natural moisturizer, and it also has antibacterial properties. Allow the honey to soak in for a few minutes, then rinse it well.

Tips & Warnings

  • Wash your pillowcases regularly. As you sleep, the bacteria from the acne will run onto your pillowcase and then transfer onto your clean skin the next night.

  • Reduce sugar and fats in your diet. Drink a lot of water to flush your system.

  • Never pick or try to pop the deep blemishes on your face. This is a surefire way to cause scarring.
