How to Create a Keyword Search Page
A keyword search page saves time for website visitors. Visitors can enter a search term to find every page on the website that contains that term. Each search also increases the number of page views of a site. This results in more profit for the website owner. Several online tools allow a site owner to make a keyword search page. Owners can use the search page to get more website traffic and create a more enjoyable and convenient experience for visitors.

1
Register with FreeFind to create a site search engine. The site indexes the pages of your website to allow searches. The search-box code provided by FreeFind incorporates search functionality into your web pages. A keyword search page opens when a visitor to your site uses the search box. The visitor can then use the search page for additional searches of your site.

2
Use Google to create a custom search engine. Enter your own website addresses into the sign-up form. You can even limit the search to individual web pages. Google provides HTML code to put on your website. The code displays a keyword search tool and opens up the search results in a new page.

Use Site Search Pro script to enable keyword search results on your own website. Install the search script or get the script developer to install it for you on your host server. The control panel has code for a search box to put on any web page. Unlike remotely hosted search services, visitors stay on your site when seeing search results.

Click on "File Manager" in the cPanel of your web hosting account. Choose the pages on your website where you would like to place a search box. Click "Edit" to see the HTML of the page. Copy and paste the search-box code from your chosen search site or software into the HTML of the page. You can also use any separate web-editing software to incorporate the code into web pages.

Tips & Warnings
Maximize visitor use of the search tools by putting a search box on every page of your site. Copy and paste the search code into your template. The search box will appear on every page if you use that template to create all of the web pages.
Upgrade one of the free services to prevent ads on your search pages. Free search services place ads on the search-results pages in return for providing the service.
Do not use a free service for large sites. The sites place a limit on the number of searches. Sites with many pages or visitors may exceed the usage limit.
