You should change your wiper blades at least once a year.

Your 2008 Chevrolet Silverado windshield wipers improve your visibility in inclement weather, protecting your safety. You should inspect your wipers regularly for signs of drying, cracking or other damage. Replace wiper blades whenever you notice any indications of wear or once a year at least. Buy replacement wiper blades at an auto parts retailer.

Instructions

    • 1

Lift the windshield wiper arm away from the windshield. Turn the blade upward so it faces away from the truck.

    • 2

Squeeze the grooved areas on each side of the wiper blade. Slide the blade toward the top of the wiper assembly to remove it.

    • 3

Slide the new blade in from the top of the wiper assembly until it locks into place. Repeat the process on the opposite wiper.

Tips & Warnings

  • Place a soft cloth between the wiper arm and the windshield glass if you need to put the wiper arm down while the blade is removed.

  • When buying replacement wiper blades, buy 21.6-inch blades for your 2008 Chevrolet Silverado.
