Open QuickTime on your computer by clicking "Start" and then "All Programs." Scroll down the list until you see the QuickTime folder and click to open the folder. Choose "QuickTime Player" from the options.

Click on "Help" from the text file at the top of the screen. Choose "Update existing software" to update your QuickTime files. To upgrade to the professional version, click "Buy QuickTime Pro" from the options.

Allow the updated files to download and install to your player. If have purchased an upgrade to the Pro version, copy the registration code from the order acknowledgment page. You will also get an email with this number.

Restart the program if it has closed during the install process. If you have purchased the upgrade to Pro, click on "Edit" from the text menu and then on "Preferences". Choose "Register" from the options and paste your code into the space provided.
