How Do I Save a Ringtone to My Cell Phone?
Most every cell phone offers you the option to save your own ringtones onto it. The manner in which you do so, though, depends upon your cell phone make and model and your cell phone carrier. Two basic methods exist to add ringtones to your cell phone without downloading them directly from your cell phone service provider---via text message and via memory card. Once you send the ringtone to your cell phone, you have to save the ringtone to your phone in order to use it.

From Text Message

Click "View" to open the text message containing the ringtone you want to save to your cell phone.

Click "Options."

Click "Save As." Click "Ringtone." The ringtone saves to your cell phone.
From Memory Card

Insert the memory card in your cell phone.

Click "Menu." Click "Settings & Tools."

Click "Memory." Click "Card Memory." Click "My Sounds."

Scroll to the ringtone you want to save to your cell phone. Click "Move." The ringtone is moved to your cell phone memory.

Text a ringtone to your cell phone via a ringtone website or your email account.
You can only save a ringtone to your cell phone with a memory card if your cell phone and your cell phone carrier allows.
