Without downloading and installing a program, transfer previously backed up music to your laptop using some simple steps and guidelines.

Instructions

1. Plug your USB flash drive into an open USB port on your laptop. USB ports are generally located on the side or back of your laptop depending on the model that you are using.

2. Double click "My Computer" (Windows Vista or 7) or "Computer" (Windows XP) to launch Windows Explorer. You should see your flash drive's icon in Windows Explorer. If you are using a Mac, you should see your flash drive's icon on the desktop.

3. Double click your flash drive's icon to launch the flash drive window. You should see the songs that are on your flash drive. Click the song that you want to transfer to your computer. To select more than one song, press and hold "Ctrl" and click each song. Drag the selected songs from your flash drive to the folder you want to save them in on your computer. Alternatively, right click the select audio files and click "Copy."

4. Right click the folder or location you want to download the music to and click "Paste." When you finish downloading your songs to the computer, click the "Safely remove hardware" icon on the system tray next to the clock. Click your flash drive in the hardware window that launches and click "Stop." When prompted, unplug your flash drive from the laptop. If you are using a Mac, right click your flash drive on the desktop and click "Eject." Unplug your flash drive from the laptop.
