The Internet Explorer web browser saves certain URL addresses in the program. These URLs are located in the address bar, allowing you to visit a particular website without manually typing in the URL. All of the URLs in Internet Explorer can be deleted by erasing the Web browser's history. You may only want to delete one or two URLs from Internet Explorer. These URLs can be manually deleted via the address bar at the top of the program.

Instructions

      Open an Internet Explorer browser.

      Click on the arrow that is located on the very far right side of the URL address bar at the top of the Internet Explorer browser. The URL addresses in Internet Explorer will show up in the drop menu underneath the address bar.

      Place your cursor over the URL you want to manually delete. When you do this, the URL will become highlighted and an "X" will be located to the right of the highlighted URL.

      Click the "X." The URL address will be manually deleted from Internet Explorer.

      Repeat steps 1 through 4 to delete additional URL addresses in Internet Explorer.
