How to Change the Singer in Guitar Hero 3 for Wii

"Guitar Hero 3: Legends of Rock" is a music simulation game. It was released for the Nintendo Wii in October of 2007. It is the first game in the series to include celebrities as playable characters. Tom Morello and Slash can both be selectable player characters. Bret Michaels from Poison is also included in the game. Normally, the same singer is used for the entire game, but under certain circumstances he can be replaced by Bret Michaels. You can only change the singer to Bret Michaels, he is the only alternative to the default singer.

Instructions

    • 1

Turn on the Nintendo Wii video game console with the "Guitar Hero 3: Legends of Rock" game disc inserted.

    • 2

Select "Career" from the Main menu.

    • 3

Start a new career or load an existing one.

    • 4

Play songs in Career mode until you earn at least $500. This can be done on any difficulty level, but the number of songs you will need to play to earn this amount will vary based on the difficulty level and your performance rank.

    • 5

Buy "Go That Far" from the bonus songs section of the career mode store.

    • 6

Select "Talk Dirty to Me" or "Go That Far" as the song to play. The game will change the singer into Bret Michaels at the start of the song. This can only occur for these two specific songs. You do not need to do this in career mode, the game will change the singer in any mode. You just need to have both songs unlocked.

Tips & Warnings

  • "Talk Dirty to Me" is in the first set list in "Guitar Hero 3: Legends of Rock." This means that it is already unlocked at the beginning of the game. This is why you only need to buy "Go That Far" to have both Bret Michaels songs available.

  • There is no way for Bret Michaels to be selectable as a guitarist or to have him appear as the singer for any other song. This applies to every version of the game, not just the Nintendo Wii.
