How to Draw a Cartoon Bumble Bee
Real, live bees can be a bummer: Many people are afraid of them even if they know the bee isn't going to sting them. (Bumble bees rarely sting.) Drawing a cartoon bumble bee, however, can be fun and is relatively easy.

1
Draw two overlapping ovals. Make one smaller and wider; make the other longer and more narrow. The smaller oval will become the head; the wider oval will be the body. Use a pencil and draw lightly.
-
2
Pencil in two triangles on the back of the narrow oval. These will become the wings.
-
-
3
Add two, large circles onto the smaller oval, placing them where the bee's eyes would be.
-
4
Erase the intersecting lines of the ovals, circles, and triangles so that the bee's head, body, wings, and eyes are clearly distinguished. Darken in the shapes to make them more pronounced.
-
5
Place two, dark circles into the center of the eyes to form the pupils.
-
6
Round off the tips of the triangles to form rounded wings. Erase the sharp lines of the triangles so that only the rounded tips remain.
-
7
Color the body with yellow and black stripes. Add some squiggly lines between the head and the body to make the bee appear fuzzy.
-
8
Add two antennae to the tip of the bee's head by simply drawing two straight lines and putting a circle at the tip of each line.
-
9
Add six feet onto the body of the bee by drawing six lines and adding rectangles at the ends of each line.
-
10
Add a smile to your bee's face to complete the cartoon bee.
