How to Connect a Cable Modem to a Router and VoIP Modem
Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) is a telecommunications technology for placing and receiving phone calls over the Internet. A standard landline telephone connects directly to a VoIP modem, which is then connected either to a cable modem or to a router managing several devices connected to a cable modem. Two Ethernet cables are required to hook up the VoIP box to the router and the router to the modem.
