How to Put Lines Through Printed Text in Blogs

By adding a little HTML code, you can create strike-out text on your blog.

Creating strike-out text, or text that has a line through it, is an easy task. Like bold, italics and underline effects, strike-out text only requires that you create a simple HTML code. Strike-out text offers a simple way to enhance the look of your blog or website.

Instructions

1. Go to your blog's HTML editor. HTML code typed into a Rich Text editor will not show up properly.

2. Type or find the text that you want to put a strike-out line through.

3. Type "<s>" without the quotes before the text and "</s>" after the text.

4. Switch out of HTML mode. The text should now have a line through it.

Tips & Warnings

• <Strike> and </strike> also create a strike-out effect.
