How to Make Gel Eye Masks
Stress, dehydration and lack of sleep all contribute to puffy eyes, dark under-eye circles, and eye bags. While the ideal solution for combating these problems is plenty of water and rest, not everyone has the time to do these things. The good news is that there is a quick fix to perk your eyes right up. Gel eye masks are easy to make yourself and work on tired eyes in just minutes. Does this Spark an idea?
Things You'll Need
- 1 potato
- Handheld grater
- Small dish
- 1 tbsp. aloe vera gel
- 1-inch piece of cucumber
- 1 tsp. lemon juice
- Mini chopper
- 1/4 cup spinach
- Spoon
- Cotton balls

Grate a potato, then gather the grated potato bits in your hand. Squeeze the juice into your small dish.

Add 1 tbsp. aloe vera gel to the small dish.

Slice 1 inch off of the end of a cucumber. Squeeze it over the small dish, allowing the dish to catch the juice.

Add 1 tsp. lemon juice to the small dish.

Place 1/4 cup spinach in a mini chopper and process to a paste-like consistency. (If you have trouble making it into a paste, add a tsp. of water to the chopper.) Pour the paste into your small dish.

Mix all ingredients in the small dish using a spoon.

Apply the gel mask around the eye area with cotton balls, being careful not to get it into your eyes.

Sit back, relax and let the mask sit on your eye area for 15 minutes.

Rinse the mask from your eyes using cool water, then pat your face dry with a clean towel.

Tips & Warnings
This mask is gentle enough to use daily, so use it whenever you like.
Leftover mask can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to three days.
