How Do I Insert Auto Text Into a 2007 Word Document Footer?

Microsoft Word 2007 supports a feature called AutoText, which will automatically insert text into a Word document with just a few keystrokes. If you have an AutoText entry already entered into your Word software program, you can insert it into the document's footer with a minimal amount of effort.

Instructions

1. Click the "Microsoft Office" button, click "Word Options" and then click the "Customize" button.

2. Click "All Commands" under the "Choose commands from" section. Click the "Autotext" entry and then click the "Add" button to add the Autotext button to the toolbar.

3. Click in the area of the footer where you want the AutoText to appear.

4. Click on the "AutoText Gallery" button in the toolbar and then click the AutoText entry you want to appear in the footer. The AutoText entry will then be automatically entered into the footer at the location where you previously selected.
