How Do I Switch My Windows Live Email to MSN Hotmail?

Use Hotmail or Windows Live email.

MSN provides email through both its newer Windows Live service, and its older Hotmail service. When MSN introduced Windows Live, it upgraded most of the Hotmail accounts to Windows Live. This added 2 GB of storage space to existing Hotmail accounts and added options such as chat within the email program and backgrounds for emails. However, if you don't care about the storage space, it is easy to switch from Windows Live back to your Hotmail settings. Even if you have never had Hotmail, you can easily switch your Windows Live.

Instructions

1. Open up your Windows Live email Inbox.

2. Look for a link in the bottom left-hand corner that says "Switch to classic."

3. Click that link and read the message that pops up. The message tells you that you are currently using Windows Live, and that you can try either Windows Live Hotmail or Classic Hotmail. Choose the one that you would like and confirm by clicking the "Switch" button..

Tips & Warnings

• While in Windows Hotmail, you can click on a link in the lower left-hand corner that says "Switch to Windows Live" and follow the same process to use Windows Live.
