The iPod touch can download applications using its wireless Internet feature and the built-in app store. This can be accomplished by following a few simple steps.

1. Ensure that you are connected to a Wi-Fi signal by tapping the "Settings" application on the home screen, selecting "Wi-Fi," then clicking on your desired Wi-Fi connection.

2. Navigate back to the home screen and tap the "App Store" icon to open it.

3. Locate an app that you wish to download by either browsing the app store or executing a search through typing the name of your desired app in the search bar.

4. Tap on your desired app. This will bring you to a summary screen where you can download it.
