How Do I Watch U-Verse on My Laptop?
AT&T's Uverse service is the first widely available fiber-based TV service in the United States and offers an incredible selection of movies, premium channels, and on-demand shows. Given that it is the most technically advanced service available, it just makes sense that you would want to watch it on your laptop! Unfortunately, Mobitv's Uverse-On-The-Go service that easily allowed viewing of 30 channels on your PC was discontinued in 2009. Here is an option you can choose for remote viewing on a PC or laptop.

Connecting Your SlingBox to Uverse
-
1
Connect either the Composite Video lines (for best results) or S-video lines of your Slingbox directly to your Uverse set-top box, or to an AVR (audio-video receiver), that uses the set-top box as an input.
-
2
Connect your Uverse high speed Internet or other Internet Service Provider (ISP) modem or box to the Slingbox using Cat 5 or 6 cable.
-
-
3
If your Internet box is located too far from your TV set up, you will need to use an Ethernet bridge such as the SlingLink and run the cable from your Internet box to the Slingbox. A wireless connection can also be used, but may give you a bandwidth issue that could result in poor video quality. A wired connection will give 100 Mbps bandwidth, but wireless only 55 Mbps.

Tips & Warnings
- If your TV is located far from your Internet box and there is a lot of stereo equipment there, a wireless signal might be poor due to interference. The Sling Turbo connection box was created specifically to solve this problem. Moving some items to another locale may also help.
- If you want to view HD content, you will need to choose the Slingbox Pro HD.
