How to Install True Type Fonts on HP Pavilion

TrueType is a font technology embedded into Windows computers that uses vectors. In contrast to bitmap fonts that were used in the past, TrueType fonts can be blown up or shrunken down to any size without distorting the image. Because the image technology is embedded into the operating system, the font is automatically converted into vectors. Installing TrueType fonts onto your HP Pavilion expands the font library and takes little time.

Instructions

Using Windows Installer

1. Extract the font. Use Windows Explorer or another file decompression program and unzip the file.

2. Locate the font. Go to the save destination where the file was extracted to.

3. Right-click the file and select "Install" from the context menu.

Using the Control Panel

1. Click the "Start" button and go to the "Control Panel."

2. Select "Fonts" from the context menu.

3. Copy and paste the file into the "Fonts" folder.

Tips & Warnings

• You can also drag files into the "Fonts" folder.
