Sending and messaging

MSN Live Messenger, also known as MSN messenger, is a chat program produced by Microsoft that allows for instant communications between users. Sharing text is easy through this method of communication, however, it is just as easy to share files and photos. To share a photo in your MSN conversation, you will need to have the photo ready to send and saved in an easily accessible place.

Instructions

    • 1

Open MSN Messenger and sign in. This will display your online contacts list. Since a photo or file transfer needs to be manually accepted, your contact will need to be online when you send a photo.

    • 2

Open a conversation with the contact to whom you wish to send your photo. You can do this by double-clicking on their name in your "Contacts" list, by right-clicking on the contact and selecting "Send an Instant Message," or by going to the "Contact" menu on the top toolbar, selecting "Send Instant Message" and then selecting the contact's name from the available list of contacts. A message window will appear where text, files and photos can be sent.

    • 3

Click the "Send File" button located on the top of the message window. This will open a dialogue box for sending your photo.

    • 4

Use the dialogue box to navigate to the location where you have saved your photo, then select the photo. Click "Choose" to send the photo. Once the contact accepts the file transfer, the photo will be sent to your contact and you will see a progress bar indicating how fast the transfer is taking place. When the transfer is complete, the photo is sent.
