How to Crochet a Christmas Tree Toilet Tissue Cover
Toilet tissue covers have been a crocheting staple for decades. If you want to spice up your bathroom for the holidays, consider crocheting a toilet tissue cover in the shape of a Christmas tree. You will need basic knowledge of crocheting in the round along with some green worsted weight yarn and a size H crochet hook. Then you can embellish your finished cover with button ornaments.

Crochet a small circle. Make two chain stitches, and then make three single crochet stitches in the second chain from the hook, and join with a slip stitch. Crochet the next round evenly, meaning put one single crochet stitch in every stitch around and join. For the following round, increase by making two single crochet stitches in every stitch around; this will give you a total of six stitches. Crochet the next round evenly. Continue this pattern of increasing one round and working one even round until you have approximately 48 stitches. Then work one round where you increase by making a single crochet in one stitch followed by two single crochets in the next stitch; this will give you a total of 62 stitches.

Crochet evenly to form the body of the tissue cover. Make one single crochet stitch in every stitch around for approximately 15 rounds, or however many rounds it takes to cover the tissue paper roll. Finish off at the end, and weave in your loose yarn using a large-eye blunt needle.

Use a sewing needle and thread to sew buttons sporadically around the Christmas tree. This will make the tree look like it is covered in festive ornaments.

Tips & Warnings
If the Christmas tree has a hard time standing up, cut some craft foam to put in the top, or stuff it with fiberfill stuffing. You could also dip it in liquid starch to give it a stiff feel and help it hold its shape.
