How to Retrieve a Voice Mail From Vonage

Accessing the Vonage voice mail system.

Vonage is a Voice Over Internet Protocol (VoIP) service available world wide. It uses any high-speed Internet connection and a regular phone to make and receive calls. One of the features that Vonage offers is voice mail for every line. The voice mail can be retrieved through the phone that is attached to the Vonage line, a remote phone (including a cell phone) or via the Internet. In order to retrieve voice mail from a phone, you must have a password. The initial password will be sent to you in the Vonage welcome email.

Instructions

Phone Attached to Vonage Line

1. Dial *123 on any phone attached to your Vonage line. You will be prompted for your Vonage passcode.

2. Type in your Vonage password. First time users will type in the password that is enclosed in the Vonage welcome email.

3. Press "1" to listen to voice mail messages.

4. Press "1" a second time to listen to new messages.

5. Follow the message prompts at the end of each voice mail message to delete, replay or save the message.

Any Other Phone

1. Dial the number for the Vonage line you want to retrieve messages from.

2. Press the "*" key when you hear the voice mail prompt.

3. Enter your Vonage password when prompted.

4. Press "1" to listen to voice mail messages.

5. Press "1" a second time to listen to new messages.

Online

1. Log on to your Vonage account through the Vonage website (see Resources).

2. Click the "Voicemail" link in the tool bar at the top of the screen.

3. Click the "Listen" link next to each voice mail. You will be presented with a file download dialog screen.

4. Click "Open" to listen to the .wav file that contains the voice mail.
