How to Change Text Alerts on a Pantech Duo

The Pantech Duo, an AT&T Wireless smart phone, has the ability to use personalized sound files for text alerts. This helps you recognize an incoming text message by sound instead of having to pick up your Pantech Duo and check the screen. This phone uses a Windows Mobile operating system, so the text alert options are inside the settings menu.

Instructions

1. Turn on your Pantech Duo. Go to "Start," "Programs" and "Settings" in the Windows Mobile menu.

2. Click “Sounds.” Scroll down the Sounds menu to find "Text Message." Click on the field next to it to browse the available text alerts.

3. Click on your desired text alert. Click “Done” to save your new text message setting.

• You can choose any sound file you would like for your text alerts. AT&T Wireless has its own media mall for its users to download sound files for text alerts. Prices may vary.
