How Do I Backup MSN Email Folders Stored on My Computer?

MSN Explorer from Microsoft Corporation was designed to combine a web portal and browser with email services, music services, and computer safety and security tools. The email client included with MSN Explorer allows you to customize your folders. Once your folders are set up, backup the email settings and save the backup file. In the event that you have to reload your MSN Explorer or you load MSN Explorer on another computer, you can restore the backup, thus restoring your folders.

Instructions

1. Open MSN Explorer.

2. Click "Settings," then click "Email Settings."

3. Click "Import and Export" then click "Export." Name the file something meaningful, then click "Save." Save the backup file to a location on your hard drive.

Tips & Warnings

• For additional backup integrity, save the backup file to an external storage medium.

• Periodically save a fresh backup of your email folders to keep the backup file current.

• To restore the backup file, follow the steps again, except choose "Import" instead of "Export," then select your backup file.
