How to Write a Mind Map
Mind mapping is a tool developed to help people consciously and subconsciously train their brains to learn new patterns of thinking and behaving. Mind maps can take many different forms; however, they all have a common purpose and therefore share many of the same elements. The center of every mind map is the goal, core concept or idea with lines connecting it to images, words and symbols which represent ideas. The wonder of a mind map is that it displays a hodgepodge of disorganized, disconnected ideas in an orderly fashion, helping people organize their thoughts and making it easier to achieve specific goals.

Tips & Warnings
Variations on the simple mind map include the tree or organizational chart format. A mind map drawn based on the tree format resembles a family tree, with the main idea or goal in the center and branches and twigs depicting the thoughts and steps necessary to reach the ultimate goal. The mind map that based upon the organizational chart format still has the main goal at the center, with compartmentalized ideas representing the corporate departments and divisions.
If you need assistance in getting started on a mind map of your own, mind mapping software is available on the internet. You may also decide to create your mind map on a computer rather than on a piece of paper.
