Check with friends and read reviews online to find the applications that are best for you. Through the official Blackberry App World website, some of the more popular free Twitter applications are UberTwitter and LittleChirp. In this article, UberTwitter will be used as an example.

Go to UberTwitter on your Blackberry Internet browser. Click on "Download" on the main screen. Use your cursor to select the type of phone you have so you can download the correct version. To find your phone version, go to the main menu, select the "Options," and select "About." Click on the correct version and download UberTwitter. You will be guided through the setup process to complete installation.

Press the Blackberry "Menu" button, which is the button to the left of the cursor ball. Select "New Tweet" from the menu. You will be taken to a screen where you can type in your new message.

Press the menu button again. There are three ways to add a picture through UberTwitter. To select a picture from your existing photo library, click on "Add Picture" from the menu. You will be taken to a menu of your pictures, and you can scroll through to select a picture. To take a new picture for that Tweet, select "Take Picture," snap a new photo, and you will be directed back the Tweet where you can add your message. You can also upload a photo without opening the UberTwitter application. When you take a picture, a menu will appear at the bottom of the screen. Choose the "Send Picture" option, which looks like a little envelope. A menu will pop up with send options. Select "Send to UberTwitter," where you will be directed to the "New Tweet" screen. Add a message and choose "Send Tweet."
