How to Save Work on Photoshop Elements 6.0

It is important to save your work when dealing with Photoshop Elements 6.0. Each time you save an image in a format other than ".pse", you risk losing quality in your photographs because other formats compress the image upon saving. Each save in a non-Photoshop Elements format degrades the quality of your image further. Luckily you can save your work in Photoshop Elements to keep this from happening.

• Photoshop Elements 6.0.

Instructions

1. Select "File" from the top menu bar and choose "Save As."

2. Type the name of your image in the "File Name" field. Select format ".pse" from the drop-down menu the first time you save your image. This format allows all layers to be seen individually and does not compress the file upon saving. Click "Save."

3. Continue working and editing your image, saving it as a .pse file occasionally.

4. Save your final image in a .jpg format so you can share it with others via email or photo sharing sites.
