How to Format T-Mobile MDA
Formating a T-Mobile MDA restores the factory settings of the device. Also known as hard-resetting, formatting the device can fix errors with the device, as it restores all the settings to their defaults. It is also an efficient way to start fresh because it erases all stored data. When it comes to fixing some errors, formatting is the only option, but it should only be a last resort unless you specifically want to clear all the data and adjusted settings from your MDA.

Tips & Warnings
The "Reset" button, located on the right side of the MDA can be pressed to perform a "soft reset." This clears the temporary memory of the device. If you are formatting to fix errors, try a soft reset first. This method will keep your saved data.
Once you format, there is no way to get your data back.
