Instructions

  1. Wedding Gown

    • 1

Find picture of what you want to do to the gown. You might want to lengthen or shorten the skirt, make the skirt fuller or straight, add sleeves or remove the straps.

    • 2

Take apart the wedding gown at the seams. Separate all pieces, but pin paper onto each piece so you don't forget what part of the dress it is. For example, after you've separated the skirt, write "front part of skirt" on the paper, and pin it on the corresponding part.

    • 3

Choose your pattern, and place it onto the material. Match the pattern pieces to the same pieces of the wedding gown.

    • 4

Cut the wedding gown according to the pattern.

    • 5

Follow pattern directions, and sew the remade wedding gown together.

    • 6

Decide on additional embellishments. You may want to add pearl, rhinestones, lace or ribbons.

Tips & Warnings

  • Be creative when you remake the wedding gown. Be sure to remember that to remake a wedding gown, the desired wedding gown must be similar to the old wedding gown. For example, if the old wedding gown has a straight skirt, the remade wedding gown will not be able to have a full skirt.
