How to Get Your Photos on a USB Onto a Computer With a Mini Digital Camera
After you have taken a series of images with your mini digital camera you will want to import them onto your computer. Doing so allows you to clear out the memory on the mini digital camera so you can take more pictures. Of course, before you can begin uploading the content to your computer, you need to connect the camera to the system. Typically this is done with a data USB cable.

1
Connect the data USB cable to the USB port on the mini digital camera. The cable usually comes with the camera, but if it doesn't you can purchase one from most computer and electronics stores.
-
2
Plug the other end of the USB cable into an available USB port on the computer. The computer should tell you it has detected a new removable device.
-
-
3
Power on the mini digital camera and set it to "Playback."
-
4
Wait for the image software you have installed on your computer to load (if you have software installed). The image program will import all of the images currently stored on the camera. Depending on how many images you have taken, the process may take a few minutes.
-
5
If you don't have any imaging software installed on your system, or if the program doesn't load, select the "Start" button followed by "Computer" (or "My Computer").
-
6
Double-click the removable device icon. A window will open with all the image files displayed.
-
7
Click-and-drag the images from the removable disk folder to any location on your computer. This copies the images onto your computer.
-
8
Close the removable device window, then right-click the icon and select "Eject" from the pull-down menu. This safely ejects the mini digital camera from the computer.
