How to Erase MagicJack Files

MagicJack is a simple device that plugs into your computer and lets you make an unlimited amount of phone calls through the Internet for a small yearly fee. In order for MagicJack to work, you must install MagicJack's software which allows the computer to dial phone numbers and connect to existing phone systems. If you have changed your mind on MagicJack and would like to uninstall it from your computer, you'll find that it's more complicated than the simple \"Add/Remove Programs\" option via the Control Panel in Windows.

Instructions

1. Unplug MagicJack from your system.

2. Delete any desktop icons by manually dragging them to the trash, and then empty the Recycle Bin.

3. Go to the Start menu, then select \"My Computer\" and select the \"Documents and Settings\" folder.

4. Right-click on the following files and select \"Delete\": <br /><br />C:\\Documents and Settings\\[YourUserName]\\Application Data<br />C:\\Documents and Settings\\[YourUserName]\\Local Settings\\Application Data<br /><br />Exit out of \"Documents and Settings\" and \"My Computer.\"

5. Go to the Start menu again and select \"Run.\"

6. Type in \"regedit\" in the dialog box, then select the \"OK\" button.

7. Double-click on the \"HKEY_CURRENT_USER\" folder to expand it, and located the \"Talk4Free\" files. Right-click on each and select \"Delete.\"

8. Restart your computer.
