How Do I Change My Default MP3 Player?

If you play a lot of MP3 files on your computer, you may have a favorite program that you use. If, for some reason, this program is not your computer's default MP3 software, you can change your default MP3 player software quite easily. By doing so, you'll change the preset program selection for every MP3 file on your computer.

Instructions

1. Right-click on an MP3 file on your computer and select the "Open With" option.

2. Select the "Choose Program" button and look through the list for the program you wish to use to open MP3 files. If the program doesn't appear, hit the "Browse" button and navigate to the EXE file of the program you want to use, then click the "Open" button.

3. Check the box next to the label "Always Use the Selected Program to Open This Kind of File," then click the "OK" button. The MP3 file you selected will launch in the program you chose and all future MP3 files you open will play in the same program as well.
