How to Set up a Pansat Receiver

Pansat satellite receivers are used for Free To Air (FTA) satellite broadcasts. FTA television is similar to local broadcast stations in that it is free television broadcasts. The difference is that FTA broadcasts can come from anywhere in the world because they are broadcast by satellites. In order to use the Pansat receiver, you need to properly set up the system by hooking it up to a television and adjusting the satellite settings.

Instructions

  1. Connecting to Television

    • 1

      Plug a coaxial cable into the satellite service wall jack and connect the other end to the "IF INPUT" jack on the back of the receiver.

      Insert a coaxial cable in the "TV Out" jack on the receiver and connect the opposite end to the "RF IN" or "ANT IN" jack on the television.

      Plug the receiver power cord into an electrical outlet and power on the receiver.

      Turn on the television to ensure the receiver is properly connected. If you don't receive the satellite service, check your connections.

    Setting Up Receiver

      Turn on the television and the receiver. When you are using the receiver for the first time, the language selection screen appears on the television.

      Press the "Menu" button on the remote control and select "Antenna Setup."

      Choose the satellite you want to use by pressing the right and left arrow buttons. Various satellites are available; it may take time before you find a satellite with channels you want to watch.

      Exit the "Antenna Setup" menu by pressing the "Exit" button on the remote control.

      Look through the channels of the satellite you selected. If you are unhappy with the channels on the satellite, repeat Step 3 and choose a different satellite.
