Purchase some Hollywood Fashion Tape. This product has been available for a long time and is a temporary fix to hold clothing in position for an evening. Hollywood Fashion Tape is a clear, double-stick, fashion and body tape and is a good choice for emergency corrections in how a piece of apparel looks.

2
Buy snaps in a color that closely matches your suit.

3
Lay your buttoned suit jacket flat on a large table. Position one or two snaps between each gaping button.
-
4
Sew your snaps in place, being careful to position them precisely so the suit fabric falls naturally. Since most suits are lined, you will sew your snaps to the liner or to the returning suit fabric. The snaps should be at least 1/2 to 1 inch from the edge of the fabric so they will be invisible.

Try on your suit and adjust the snap placement until no further gaping occurs and there is no evidence that snaps are being used to control the fabric.
